Torpia a forced teamplay strategy game

Posted by mdshare on Sep 30, 2009 in Torpia

A forced Teamplay game, pretty unique as concept yet game style is similar to tribalwars and kingsage.

Torpia is a web based browser game based upon the interaction of good and evil players. It’s based in the middle ages where troops still used swords and shields to attack others. It encourages interaction between players in the game more than any other game released in this day and age. It’s an exciting new game which incorporates both trade and fighting to create a successful game play. Evil and good players cannot survive without each other and need to support each other to win, as good players supply the weapons evil demands to create troops, and certain ores to create buildings.

In Torpia good players play a massive role of trade, whilst evil players take the fighting stance.

The main differences between Good and Evil:

• Evil players can create troops
• Evil players can conquer other evil villages
• Evil players attract villagers automatically
• Evil players cannot create produce gold/iron ore, neither can they create weapons or items.
• Good players can create goldmines and iron mines which produce gold and iron ore
• Good players can send resources by or items to good and/or evil players
• Good players can create weapons & Items (E.g. Shields, Swords, Coins, Planks etc)
• Good players need a chapel to attract villages at a certain point
• Good players cannot create troops, nor conquer villages.
• Good players can build most of their buildings up to 30, whilst evil players can only build up certain buildings/resource fields to level 20

Take-Over Town Strategy

Posted by mdshare on Mar 21, 2009 in KingsAge

Okay so you have built your first Count and are ready to go out and conquer a Town

  • You could conquer a town that is adjacent to your existing town. Great for mutual defence and combining resource production to build bigger buildings faster – however bad for farming/pillaging because you have to share all your targets between the two towns.
  • You could conquer a Town that is a a fair distance away – makes moving resources and troops between them rapidly deifficult – but you can open out a new range of farm/pillage targets
  • Do you pick a Town that is clustered (adjacent towns on several sides) and know that reacting rapidly enough to attacks from any of those towns will be almost impossible if they attack.
  • Do you pick a Town that has 2 or 3 clear fields in every direction – very difficult for people to sneak up on you to attack – however all your pillages/attacks take longer also and give your opponentrs more time to react.
