Zynga – How to fix loading or connection issues

We monitor our game performance very closely and make every effort to let you know in advance when your connectivity may be hampered due to issues on our end.

Remember that any time you experience a loading issue, a good rule of thumb is to try refreshing the page once or twice.

If refreshing does not result in your game loading properly, try the following troubleshooting measures:

Update your browser.

There are several documented issues surrounding Internet Explorer 8 (IE 8) or Internet Explorer 9 (IE 9) and Flash content. If you are using IE 8 or IE 9, we suggest that you try a new browser such as Safari 4, Mozilla Firefox, or Google Chrome.

We also recommend that you always make sure that you are using the latest version of your browser. These are the last versions of the different browsers that support Zynga games:

Having your browser updated can help improve your gameplay experience.

To check which browser version you are using, go to the Help menu of your browser window and select About.

To upgrade to the latest version, click any of the links above.

  • Clear your cache. Click here for instructions.
  • Verify that JavaScript is enabled. Click here for instructions.
  • Close your other internet applications, especially any file-sharing applications or concurrent streaming video.
  • Use a plug-in network connection rather than wireless.
  • Disable pop-up blocking or ad blocking software. These software types actively monitors JavaScript and have been found to have a negative performance impact on our games, which rely heavily upon JavaScript.

TIP: Rather than fully disabling the software, you can create an exception for the social networking platform on which you play our games. Please refer to your software’s documentation or help information for instructions.

Here are some more specific suggestions:

  • Click here to download the latest Flash player if you do not currently have it.
  • Reboot your system.
  • Adjust your Flash settings to give Flash permission to store information on your computer. Instructions on how to accomplish this can be found here.
  • Uninstall and re-install Java. Click here for instructions.

NOTE: FOR FARMVILLE PLAYERS ONLY:

  • If you are still experiencing problems loading the game or have issues with slow performance, try playing directly at: www.FarmVille.com.
  • If you see any error messages stating that the application is “unavailable or restricted,” then unblock FarmVille on Facebook as this is most often the solution. Click here for instructions.

If you are still experiencing issues, please email Zynga Customer Support with the following information so we can investigate further:

  1. Which operating system are you using (Windows XP, Vista, MAC OS X)?
  2. Which browser and version are you using?
  3. Are you using Firewall/pop-up blocking/anti-virus software? If so, who manufactures it?
  4. How do you connect to the internet? (Cable, DSL)
  5. Is your network connection wired or wireless?
  6. Can you load other Facebook games?
  7. Please describe in detail what you saw on your screen as you attempted to load our game.

    i can play the trail and so forth on my husbands games but not my games on the same computer, whats the issue?

    I have the same issue.  Can not load my games for 9 days now but can load under my grandson’s FB account and his game.  Same computer.  I tried loading my game on another computer and it doesn’t work either.  I have emailed Zynga and so far, no help!.  I’m giving up!

    Try to contact zynga chat, and ask them to clear unused data from your account.

    I have tried several of the games on Facebook, this is the only one I keep coming back to…I am very very frustrated as a few other friends of min….WE WANT FRONTIERVILLE to load up correctly and fully….PLEASE….I agree with other comments below, I can use my same compter and get on my son and my grandsons facebook accounts and play frontierville just fine…WHY…………HELP GIVE ME MY FULL FRONTIERVILLE…..PLEASE

    The game’s won’t load correctly I play Castle Ville and Bubble Safari.  They’re OK width wise, but not length wise !  I can’t send things to my friends, or make things as the whole view is too short ! Please help

    I have been worrying with fronteirville for a long time . I am an older lady and love this game but I am ready to just give up and delete it…It want load my buildings I have treied everything and my daughter has tried fixing it for me I love my game but I am probably fixing to give it up I have no problem with the other games just this one..Someone said may need a newer computer I am on a fixed income no way can I do that but if there are any issues you might can help me with I would so be very thankful…God Bless you

    I have been unable to load F/V for 6 weeks, I have notified you on a regular basis and still no support from you. How much longer are you going to leave my request unattended? this is a serious matter, please help, I do not wish to loose all my lovely friends and neighbours of which I have made since playing F/V.

    when Iam playing Words with friends, my computer comes up saying” time out ” and I cannot get the tiles placed. It says to restart the game, and takes forever to do that.

    I haven’t been able to get on Farmville for over 6 days now. It freezes up as soon as the request start to load (the page with the duck and clouds) I have tried everything Zynga has suggested and still nothing! I have tried on my lap top and my desk top, no luck! Please help!!!

    I can’t get my farmville 2 game to load on Zynga….I have gone thru all the troubleshooting steps and I still have nothing. I don’t even see a way to contact Zynga to ask for help, I just get the run around. I am fixing to give up and quit playing all together.
